Geforce GTX 660 desktop coming in July

by on27 June 2012

Codename GK 104 – 400

Nvidia always had good value for money products and the Kepler won’t be any exception.

Many have figured out that there is a mid-range card is missing from the lineup and as you can imagine Nvidia is working on it.

The latest intel we have received claims that it won’t be coming this month, but since this is the last week of June, that sort of makes sense. Our sources are telling us that the card, dubbed Geforce GTX 660, is expected in July timeframe.

We won’t get into specs just yet, as we simply don’t know them, but Nvidia should have the card ready at some point in July and we will probably learn more as the launch draws near. The launch is apparently timed to coincide with the back-to-school shopping season.

If previous roll outs are anything to go by, it is safe to assume that Nvidia is working on two cards, a faster version that it currently calls TI and a vanilla card. We still don’t have the exact pricing, but the GTX 660 will probably be priced in the $199 to $249 range.
