Cebit 08: Musashi cools the HD 3870 and 3850

Scythe has showcased a VGA cooler and it was about time they entered the VGA market, since their CPU coolers are already very popular.

The cooler, branded Musashi, consists of two 120mm slim fans placed on an aluminum heatsink, which covers the entire PCB. The new Musashi is compatible with both HD 3870 and 3850 series, as well as with Nvidia´s G80 and G92 graphic cards. We have seen it mounted on ATI´s HD 3870 and HD 3850 cards and, according to Scythe, it is actually doing much better than the reference cooler.

The mounting system consists of a plate with pre-drilled holes, and the cooler will be bundled with heatsinks that should be compatible with the cards. This new VGA cooler should be available soon.
