From the Gamescom 2010 Sony press conference comes the news that Gran Turismo 5 will be released in November. Sony again confirmed that it will arrive in North America on November 2nd and Europeans will get it November 3rd. Once again, Sony seems very sure that the title will be released with no additional delays expected.

Most recently, a number of GT5-related posts have suggested that the game is in crunch time to make its release date. While some suggested that another delay could be possible based on the news, we are now hearing that the date is firm and it is expected that it will arrive on time in November in North America and Europe as planned.

The game will be sold in both a standard and collector’s edition version, as we told you about previously. Retailers that we spoke with say that they are accepting orders for both versions. with buyers racking up a surprising number of pre-orders. One retailer we spoke with expressed surprise at the number of GT5 Collector’s Editions that have been pre-ordered. With a $99.99 price tag, this version is a true premium edition for those die hard fans who want it all, but at that price it is really unknown how well it will sell overall.
