Electronic Arts is finally firming up the release date for Crysis 2. Originally, we heard that it would finally drop at some point between January and March of 2011. Our sources have warned us that a release early in 2011 is unlikely and late March is the likely best guess.

Now, our sources prove their worth, as EA has confirmed that Crysis 2 will arrive on March 22nd in North America, and those in Europe will have to wait till March 25th for it to drop. Previously, Crysis was only a PC title; and while Crysis 2 will be released for the PC, console players will get a taste this time as Crysis 2 will arrive for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the first time.

With the console release, many seem to be much more excited about the release, which is understandable with a much larger audience being able to play the title.
