Time is short to have a look before release

Blur is racing toward its upcoming release on May 25th and those in the multiplayer beta are getting one last update prior to release. The multiplayer beta has gone though some changes and the work that the developers have been doing on the title to be published and distributed by Activision is very evident.

In the latest update, developer Bizarre Creations will be opening up the A-Class cars in the standard playlists; and in addition, the Supercar playlists will add two races, which are called Tokyo and Amboy. One new spin with the latest release is that the power-up placement within the tracks will be random, so that it will be different in each race. Players will have a chance to reach rank 15 with the number of fans being doubled from the previous amount that you can earn on each race.

Players will only have till May 10th at 2 A.M. P.D.T. to experience the Blur multiplayer demo before it ends to get ready for the actual game release. The improvements have been good from our play experiences and it offers a very unique style of racing game play that has continued to improve during the beta. While Split/Second from Pure developer Blackrock Studios will arrive first on retailer shelves, we have to wonder if those that have tried both the Blur beta and the Split/Second demo will buy only one, or whether they will spring for both? The games are very different, but we have to admit that we have had fun playing both of them. Only time will tell which one will reign supreme in this battle of the May racing titles.
