Mexican Wrestler to get big time distribution

Konami has announced that they have a deal in place to pick up the distribution rights for the upcoming Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring, which is in development by Immersion Games for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. (The DS, PSP and Wii versions are being developed by Sabarasa.)

Arriving August 9th, Konami will be handling the game, which is under license from Televisa Home Entertainment for North and Latin America. Publisher Slang will handle the distribution in Mexico where the game is expected to do very well, as Lucha Libre AAA is very popular throughout Mexico.

Konami looks at the deal as a chance to reach Hispanic audiences with a title that hopes to be one of the best wrestling games on the market once released. Prior to the announcement word had it that Immersion and Slang were looking for a partner that had the distribution reach necessary to help the game get good penetration in the Latin and North American markets, which will be key to making the title even more successful.
