It has been a long wait for the sequel of Crackdown 2 to arrive, but we have learned that the free-roaming game by developer Ruffian will be hitting dealer shelves on July 8th in North America, while the rest of the world will have to wait till July 9th to join in on the fun.

The first Crackdown had a unique connection to Halo 3 last time around, as the title previously included access to the Halo 3 multiplayer beta. The sequel will just not have such a marketing boost this time around; still, from what we can see there is a lot of fun to be had bringing justice to Pacific City.
