It seems that developers are starting to move way from the Nintendo Wii in favour of making software for the PS3.

A number of big third-party publishers like EA & Capcom have distanced themselves from the Wii Now SCEA Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations Rob Dyer told IndustryGamers that others are likely to follow.

"What publishers have said is they're not going to spend the resources on Wii... In my job, we compete against Microsoft and Nintendo, and we're competing for resources", Dyer said.

He said a few months ago developers were telling him that the Wii and DS is hot and they should  put resources there. Apparently now they have twigged that third-party product just doesn't sell on the Wii. Now they are saying Sony we're going to be able to provide you with that exclusive content, or they want to figure out to maximize the Blu-ray and get more out of PS3.

It has taken a while. The PS3 has been one of the biggest gaming disasters for Sony. This has been mostly because it insisted on running an overpriced machine in a market which was pretty cut-throat.
