1.06 will resolve the Javelin glitch and more

As high profile as the complaining has been regarding the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Javelin glitch, news reached us from our sources that Infinity Ward has been working overtime in an effort to resolve the issue. From what our sources tell us, the 1.06 patch for the Xbox 360 has been submitted to Microsoft for final testing and certification prior to the final roll out.

As for the PlayStation 3 version, as we reported yesterday the 1.05 patch is already being deployed for the PS3 platform and we hear that the 1.06 patch for the PS3 will be submitted to Sony for testing and certification prior to release in the next day or two.

According to our sources, the 1.06 patch will resolve the Javelin glitch as well as address several other issues and bugs. While it will still be a little while before the patch is released, the news that it is closer to release is good for those that have already grown tired of the cheating that has been taking place due to the Javelin glitch.

As we previously had already told you, Microsoft has been taking a hard line with those who have been taking advantage of the Javelin glitch, while Sony has opted to not take any action for those who have been taking advantage of the Javelin glitch on the PS3 platform. With the release of the 1.06, this will close an ugly chapter that has led to a lot of finger pointing and complaints by the players. Like most, we can't see this loophole closed soon enough.
