Or the rest of the world

Our readers who've secretly been hoping that Nintendo will find it in its grey heart to ship some black Wii consoles outside of Japan won’t be happy to hear that Nintendo has no such plans.

The black Wii is a part of a cosmetic overhaul of Wii and DSi and we have to admit that it looks far meaner and more “gamerish” than the original version, but other than that it’s nothing but bling.

The black Wii is set to debut in Japan on 1st of August, and that’s where it’ll stay, if Nintendo is to be trusted of course. However, we all know that plans easily change, and we’re sincerely hoping this will be the case sooner rather than later.

In case you're fed up with your white Wii, you can get a custom case and replace the candy white exterior, but it will cost you about €20, and a lot of elbow grease.
