Big news to be announced, according to invite

After Microsoft’s announcement of their plans for not one, but two, press conferences at E3 we knew it would only be a matter of time before Sony announced their plans for E3 in June, as well. Sony will hold their major press conference for E3 on Tuesday, June 15th at 11:30 A.M. in the Shrine Auditorium.

While Sony is promising “big news,” it is anyone’s guess what this news might actually be; but our sources point to more 3D announcements that are likely to play a big role in what Sony is expected to show at E3 this year. Also, expect more news about upcoming titles for Sony’s competing motion technology to be shown.

The big news that many Sony fans are hoping for is a final ship date for the often delayed Gran Turismo 5, which has been shown many times, but has yet to find its way to the retail shelves. There is no word on if we can expect a GT5 announcement, but one can always hope.  However, we predict another delay, and how can you go wrong predicting that with Sony’s recent track record of being unable to get this title out the door?
