Napoleon 360 Slim photos a hoax

Nothing but a recycled 360 external HD-DVD add-on

Recently, we commented on the photos that were making the rounds that showed what we believe is either an early development version of the Xbox 360 Slim or a pre-production test sample for the upcoming Xbox 360 Slim, which is also known by the codename of Valhalla.

Now, a second series of photos is making the rounds with a picture of a device they are calling Napoleon, which is said to be a leaked photo of the outside of the Xbox 360 Slim. After a great deal of time studying the photo, we agree with those that are declaring that the photo is a hoax.

The so-called Napoleon device we believe is actually the long discontinued Xbox 360 external HD-DVD drive that is being held at an angle that makes it look like something that it is not.  In the photo you can’t see the front or the back and you can’t tell the thickness; and to top it off, isn’t it strange that it seems to just match up perfectly?

It just seems that some people just try to suck other people in with a fake photo. Sure, everyone wants to see what the new Xbox 360 revision will look like, but we have to think that it is a little too soon. Our sources suggest that Valhalla is still in testing and till that is closer to completed, we doubt that they are going to be working on the outer casing of the new unit. Be patient:  we don’t even know if you are going to see anything close to real until close to the actual release, which our sources seem to think will be this fall, and perhaps timed close to the Halo Reach launch.
