Is there any reason to live there?

If Switzerland didn't have mountains and look pretty there is hardly any reason to live there. (But these are two pretty good reasons. sub.ed.)

Now in the interests of preserving its family friendly reputation, the nation whose soul contribution to Europe has been Heidi, providing the Pope with a bodyguard and a multi-purpose camping knife has passed a restriction in the sale of mature games to minors.

No one in the government opposed the move and the bill will now be presented in parliament. It bans the purchase of any game not carrying a PEGI age rating and requires stricter rules on the requirements of ID. It is not clear why the law was needed. Both of these measures had previously been voluntarily introduced by retailers late last year.

But the law has also called for an outright ban of violent and adult titles in the country. The Swiss Law Commission is currently inviting input on the issue from retail and industry bodies but there is no guarantee it will listen to common sense.

With everything so sanitised and expensive in Switzerland you would have to be Freddie Mercury to afford to live there and have any fun and he died trying.
