Universe MMO Beta to start soon as well

Lego video game fans have a lot to get excited about this week with two big news items, the first of which is the news that the Lego Universe MMO that has been in development by Net Devil is going to head into public beta soon; and the company is starting to accept sign-ups for those interesting in giving it a try. While no specifics have been released yet as far as when this might start, others are saying that those selected to participate will be contacted via Email if selected.

The other big news is that developer TT Games has announced that another Lego platformer is in development. Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars is deep in development, but the company did not offer any specifics on when its release could be expected, beyond suggesting that it will arrive in the fall in time for the holiday season. Fans are already awaiting the Lego Harry Potter: Year 1-4, which is supposed to be on track for release later this spring.

TT Games confirmed which platform Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars will be released for, including the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3, PSP, Nintendo DS as well as the PC. Whispers also indicate a possible Mac release might come later. More details are expected to be released once the game is closer to release.

You can sign-up for the Lego Universe MMO beta here.
