Intel quotes AMD's former exec in FTC case

We’ve
stumbled upon an interesting quote from one AMD’s former Executive Vice President Henri Richard claiming that he’d never buy an AMD. The quote was conveniently brought to you by AMD’s arch nemesis in an FTC filing response to antitrust accusations.

The quote is an excerpt from AMD’s internal communication in 2004 and it reads: "If you look at it with an objective set of eyes, you would never buy AMD. I certainly would never buy AMD for a personal system, if I wasn't working here."

It seems that despite the recent agreement on settling an antitrust case, FTC won’t let Intel off the hook so easy. Still, Intel seems to be keen on airing more dirty laundry and using similar tactics as Intel’s representative Chuck Mulloy said how more and more of this kind of information will be available over time.

More here.
