The ISP that sued Qwest Communications for anticompetitive business practices says it now can't afford to operate in New Mexico. The state Public Regulations Commission says customers of SkyWi and its two subsidiaries, Zianet and One Connect should ask the company to cover their service through another provider.
At the end of last year SkyWi sued Qwest and accused the telco of willfully engaging in practices designed to remove competition. While that case continued Qwest disconnected about 10,000 SkyWi customers over a $1.7 million debt.
SkyWi president Jack Leach said Qwest's actions had meant that his company lost customers' trust.
