Jobs sobs

The Apple email service that Steve Jobs wishes was not live has again gone belly up.

MobileMe, which was launched at the same time as the iPhone, has caused huge amounts of red faces at Apple. Now, despite angry emails from Steve Jobs about how hosed the service was, it has suffered another outage.

Mail through the Web, on the iPhone, and on IMAP for use on desktop e-mail applications was down for two hours. Apple has adopted its usual stance in dealing with users. It has stuck its fingers in its ears and shouted "la la la" very loudly.

There hasn't been an update to the MobileMe Status Blog since July, even though the blog was started to tell users about known issues with the service. So far, the problems have only been talked about on Apple's support discussions.
