Xbox One comes on November 22nd

A week after Playstation 4

Microsoft has finally decided to unveil the official launch date for its upcoming Xbox One console, November 22nd. In case you missed it earlier, Sony will launch its Playstation 4 console in the same month but a week earlier, on November 15th.

According to the announcement, Microsoft will launch the Xbox One in 13 countries initially including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, the UK, the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand with a price tag of $499/€499/£449. Despite being called a global launch, you may have noticed that the list is pretty slimmer than it originally was but considering that the Playstation 4 will launch for US customers only on November 15th, it is at least a bit better. Big surprise is the lack of Japan on the list and "many more markets in 2014" announcement which came from Microsoft does not sound great either.

In case you missed it earlier, the new Xbox One will feature the console, gamepad, new Kinect, headset and bunch of cables, which is how Microsoft justified the higher price tag.

Earlier today, Microsoft announced that Xbox One got a 10 percent boost in CPU clock, from 1.6GHz to 1.75GHz as well as that the console is now in full production.
