Waiting to see how well Surface will do

In an interview with Reuters, Acer's President Jim Wong noted that although the original plan was to be very aggressive when it comes to Winodws RT tablets, Acer decided to be just a tad bit more cautious and has delayed its own products to Q2 2013.

As you remember, Acer was one of the first companies that was not very happy about Microsoft's move into the tablet market. Although Acer had a very aggressive plan to introduce its line of Windows RT tablets as early as Q1 next year, Acer's President Jim Wong told Reuters that although their R&D does not stop, Acer is simply much more cautious and Windows RT tablets will not come before Q2 2013.

The good part of the story for Acer is that they will be able to see how well will Microsoft's Surface fare in the market and maybe even change some things.
