If you had to chat your way to make the Amazon store we believe that you are in the US, and once you have succeeded with that, you had a chance to get access to Amazon app store. This was a quite attractive proposition, as Amazon tends to give away some paid applications.

As of yesterday you can get these applications officially in parts of the European Union, at least most countries including Austria (country, Mozart, good beer). It also works in Australia (continent, kangaroos, good beer) and India (subcontinent, not sure about the beer).

We have successfully downloaded an application that used to cost a few bucks for free and the 0,00 USD / Euro invoice was sent to our EU address.
