They apparently have lives
Less than ten percent of 18 to 25 year old don't go onto the web on a daily basis according to a new polk of 1,488 Britons. The Poll conducted by www.MyVoucherCodes.co.uk asked if young people went online every day, to which almost all, 91 per cent said ‘yes’.

They were then asked what they predominately used the internet for every day. The results were 71 percent used it for social media, 59 per cent for work or study, half used it for email, 42 per cent used it to shop and a third used it for online banking.

Those that said they didn’t use the internet every day were asked to specify why this was the case, to which 47 per cent said that they ‘couldn’t be bothered’. 29 per cent said that they ‘didn’t have time’ whilst 21 per cent said that they ‘had no need to’ and 3 per cent said they didn’t have the internet. A third said they spent at least 5 hours online every day.

Mark Pearson, chairman of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, said that while it is quite obvious that everyone uses the internet a lot, it’s still quite shocking to see the figures. Obviously the internet is a great resource to have at our fingertips, but that doesn’t mean we have to use it all the time.”
