Third-gen iPad announcement rumored for March 7th

In line with previous reports

Last week, credible sources close to AllThingsD confirmed that Apple is scheduled to announce its third-generation iPad tablet during the first week of March 2012. Our expectations were on par with this report, considering that the technology giant announced the iPad 2 on March 2, 2011 and made the device available the following Friday on March 11, 2011.

In another confirmation sourcing from the folks at iMore, it appears that Apple will indeed use a similar strategy for its third-generation device. The report suggests that the third-gen tablet will be announced on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 which lines up with the previous AllThingsD report claiming the first week of March.

Wednesdays have become known as the traditional day for Apple to announce its flagship products, and although the credibility of a March 7th announcement date may have its skeptics, we remain cautiously optimistic that this will indeed be the case.

At last, we look forward to the day when rumors surrounding Apple's third-generation tablet can be put to rest in just three weeks time.
