Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has finally been confirmed for release on November 8th, 2011. The release of the first live action trailer from the title confirms both the release date, as well as the involvement of Sledgehammer Games working with Infinity Ward on this title.

The trailer for MW3 was shown last night during the NBA Western Conference Finals. Activision released the trailer for viewing on the Internet. The trailer does seem to be very much larger than life, showing a new scale to the Call of Duty experience that should help keep the franchise on top.

Also confirmed beyond the release date (which we already speculated was November 8th) is that a PC version is confirmed, in addition to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Several rumors suggested that the PC version might not make the release this time around, but our sources have already said that a PC version is part of the plan for MW3.
