Gelid Solutions Wing 12 PL CPU/Case fan tested

The Wing PL 12 can be found from €13 to more than €20. Gelid Solutions positioned the Wing 12 PL (Blue) in its Gaming Series, which is evident from the blue LEDs that should contribute to the look of one’s rig. We’re talking about a powerful fan with PWM control which can spin anywhere from 600-1800rpm. When running at minimum rpm, the Wing 12 PL stays inaudible, although it gets louder at maximum settings. Note that while the maximum rpm tends to get loud, it’s not quite what we’d call overly loud.

The propeller can be removed for cleaning. Gelid Solutions ships anti-vibration mounting bolts with the Wing 12 PL. Fan rpm control can be done manually so many users will surely find use for the Wing 12 PL.

We already tested the Wing 12 PL with our GX-7 CPU cooler, here, and if that wasn’t enough to show it’s capable of, then our today’s test should definitely remedy that.
