Making the world a safer place
Judge Marvin Garfinkle has ordered a 12 year old tear
away to surrender his Nintendo Wii to the court as bail.
Faced with a choice of locking the little toe rag up, or
finding a way to stop him offending while he could be tried for other offences
Garfinkle decided to hit him where it hurt. After all money is fairly meaningless for him as his
grandmother is forced to pay any fine. So if he does not keep the peace, appear
for court dates, live with his grandmother and participating in a bail
management program he will lose the console.
It is a last ditch attempt to stop the kid from a crime
spree which involved smashing windows at his elementary school, punching a
classmate in the face, disobeying a court order to stay away from school,
hitting another boy with a pool cue and attacking a teacher after a game of
dodgeball.
Needless to say the kids lawyer thinks he's simply
misunderstood. Serena Puranen told The Sun she had never seen him enraged, I've
never seen him upset. He's a 12-year-old who is generally quite scared. And now
he does not have his games console.
