Make up the cash with adverts
Google
god, Eric Schmidt told the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference in San
Francisco that the outfit is considering giving away free PCs to users but
packing them with all sorts of advertising, and we guess, spyware to make up
the cash.
While he was completely noncommittal about the whole thing, he just
said it was one of the ideas that Google was thinking of. It would be on
the back of cloud computing because that way the spec of the computer does
not have too be too high.
Schmidt was enthusiastic about Cloud Computing
saying that it was one of those changes that's going to happen, whether or
not companies want it to.
