Product page and press release

Although it seems like Nvidia can't make up its mind when it comes to launching the MCP7A chipset, it appears that some of its board partners have had enough. ECS has put up a product page, although it's fairly scarce on details and MSI has issued a press release; which since then seems to have been taken down.

Thanks to the power of Google cache, we've still managed to find the details of the MSI motherboard which will be known as the P7NGM; and it seems like MSI has a range of boards planned on the MCP7A chipset. This first board appears to have a decent feature set considering its a mATX board.

For starters, the P7NGM will have HDMI, DVI and D-sub connectivity and you'll also find two PS/2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, Gigabit Ethernet and 7.1-channel analog audio jacks around the back. Add to this four memory slots, six SATA ports on PCIe x16 and one x1 slot and two PCI slots and this board is pretty much as packed as it'll get.

ECS calls its board the GF9300T-A Black, and in contrast to MSI's board, this is a full sized ATX board. However, ECS seems to have skipped the DVI port and only gone for HDMI and D-sub, but the board also appears to have a pair of PS/2 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA and 7.1-channel analog audio jacks. The board also has four memory slots, one PCIe x16 and two x1 slots, three PCI slots and six SATA connectors.

Both boards feature Hybrid SLI support, integrated Geforce 9300 graphics, HD audio and support for 1,333MHz bus processors. The Geforce 9300/MCP7A-U is a single chipset solution and it seems like Nvidia has gotten its thermals under control this time, as both boards feature a fairly standard heatsink to cool the chipset.

You can find the ECS product page here and the MSI press release in Google cached version here.
