Arrives Q2 2008

VR-Zone has got its hands on some interesting information about the upcoming Eaglelake chipset from Intel that should arrive some time in Q2 2008. It will support the upcoming Wolfdale and Yorkfield CPU's and it supports 1,333MHz DDR3 memory.

The G version of the chipset will feature integrated DX10 graphics with support for DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI with HDCP as well as Blu-ray and HD DVD acceleration thanks to Intel's Clear Video technology.

The P version will support PCI Express 2.0 and the new ICH 10 is looking like it'll have support for six PCI Express x1 lanes. There will also be a Q version for office usage.

Intel is working on an Eaglelake P board codenamed Skyberg that will support dual x8 PCI Express slots, which should make it an interesting gaming option over the current P35 chipset.
