Cebit 08: He who dares wins

CeBIT is a place where you might get some freebies, but also a place where you might see things you’ll never be able to afford. Two Geforce 9800GX2 cards in SLI mode on Skultraill board with two overclocked Core 2 Extreme QX9775 processors, packed into a powerful Thermaltake case, would set you back about €30.000.

Add a professional Eizo FlexScan SX3031W monitor, a bunch of Raptor disks and other pricey peripherals and what you get is nothing less than a “Rig From Hell” (Höllenmaschine 3).

PC Welt is the sponsor of this beast, and it will be given to a lucky gamer who wins a game organized by PC Welt. If you’d like to try your luck, you can do so here (in German).

The paint job on the case is excellent and it seems as if there’s a fire raging within. We’re not going to laugh because two 9800GX2 cards really do spew fire, so this hole is actually a convenient ventilation shaft.
