32 and 64GB options

If you find the size of the SSD in your Eee PC to be a bit on the small side, you’ll be glad to know that Buffalo has just announced a new series of SSD drive upgrades for the 901 series, although they might work with other models as well.

The two versions are the SHD-EP9M32G and the SHD-EP9M64G, at 32 and 64GB. They will replace the 8GB SSD module, although the 4GB onboard SSD memory isn’t removable, so you can still use that, which means that this is a no hassle upgrade, as you don’t have to re-install the OS.

You’ll end up with either 36 or 68GB in total and the upgrade will show up as the D drive, just like the 8GB SSD module does by default. At the moment Buffalo hasn’t released much in the way of specifications apart from the storage size of the modules. The SSD modules measures 32.1x69.5x3.5mm (WxDxH).
