Lynnfield fixes broken DDR3 Nehalem controller |

DDR3 1333 is officially on Lynnfield
Core i7 was always officially limited to DDR3 800 and 1066 and despite the promises from Intel, DDR3 1333 or faster was never officially supported by Core i7.
Since this wont change even with the new Core i7 975 and 950 processors, you will have to get Lynnfield quad core to get a CPU that can officially support DDR3 1333 and 1066.
When it comes to memory performance, Lynnfield might be better than its big brother, the Core i7 . As it is the case with Core i7, the fastest memory will definitely work, but for some reason, Intel doesn’t want to certify that it can officially run anything faster than DDR3 1066, which is quite a downer for the fastest CPU in the world.
The interesting part is that cheaper and less impressive CPUs such as Lynnfield will beat Nehalem with its official memory support.
