A fix for a fix

Hard drive
maker Seagate has promised to issue yet another fix for its faulty Barracuda drives, or to be more precise, Barracuda drives which were bricked by its previous fix.

The new fix should fix SD1A firmware, which was issued to fix Barracuda drives a few days ago. The company claims users have nothing to worry about, and the process should revive the bricked drives without causing any data loss.

Seagate claims it will have the new (and hopefully final) fix online within 24 hours.
