Another early bird

We know that ATI plans to release M92, which should be branded Mobility Radeon, 4500 and after that comes a new chip, codenamed M93.

We have some limited information, but we do know that this chip works at 550MHz core speed in its early A11 revision and that it works with GDDR3 memory that can work at 750MHz.

It looks that ATI has a very strong line up for 2009, at least when it comes to the mobile market, and these chips, due to their 55 and even 40nm production process will have many thermal advantages. We are not sure if you can plug a GT200 in a notebook, as this baby tends to get very hot, but with 55nm shift, Nvidia might have a chance to get the mobile performance crown.

M93 is around the corner and if we look in our crystal ball we can estimate that you should see notebooks based on it by middle of the year.
