Wants to simplify Multi-GPU support
Software king of the world Microsoft has a cunning plan to improve Multi-GPU support in DirectX 12.
May be an optimization issue
On Tuesday, AMD unveiled Radeon RX 480, the first graphics card in its tenth-generation Radeon lineup, based on 14nm FinFET Polaris architecture, and already some critics have claimed that some aspects of the benchmark are not giving an accurate presentation of CrossFireX performance when tested against Nvidia's high-end Geforce GTX 1080.
And Nvidia VXAO technology
Rise of the Tomb Raider has received a new patch which brings both DirectX 12 support, Nvidia's VXAO Ambient Occlusion technology and some other optimization, fixes and tweaks.
Asynchronous Compute part of it
According to a leaked presentation, Square Enix's upcoming Hitman game is also on the list of titles that will have support for DirectX 12 API.
Claims up to 20% more GPU and 50% more CPU performance
Microsoft has released a new teaser video which shows the benefitst of the upcoming DirectX 12 API, including better performance, reduced latency and smoother framerates.
VR and DirectX 12 ready PCs stacked on shelves
AMD's Roy Taylor has been known to use its razor sharp marketing skills to tease the upcoming products and now he took to Twitter to show a shelf fully stacked with "console-sized" Falcon Northwest Tiki PCs with Radeon Technologies Group and AMD badge.
To implement asynchronous compute engines
AMD has partnered up with IO Interactive and its upcoming Hitman game which will be the newest member of the AMD Gaming Evolved program and feature performance optimizations as well as unique DirectX 12 hardware features.
Provides a decent performance boost
Microsoft's upcoming DirectX 12 API will bring plenty of performance improvements but one the most impressive is its ability to mix GPUs and combine Radeon and Geforce graphics cards for some extra performance.
Support for DirectX 12 and more
Following the release of Microsoft's new Windows 10 OS, Intel has launched its newest IGP drivers which bring some improvements as well as full support for Windows 10, DirectX 12, Miracast and more.
