Japan first to go
Nintendo is flushing sales in Japan of its Wii U home console “soon”, and similar announcements are expected in other regions.
Nintendo showed off its Switch yesterday, which was supposed to be a hybrid between a home console and a portable gaming system.

Over the past few months, Nintendo has shared limited information regarding its next-generation video game console, which company president Tatsumi Kimishima said would have “a larger impact than the Wii U” that launched in November 2006.

After AMD appeared to have sewn up the console market, it had been widely tipped to have its GPUs under the bonnet of the Nintendo NX, however the former maker of playing cards has given the contract to Nvidia.
Wii is no shaft of gold
Nintendo has just posted its latest financial earnings report and the former playing card maker posted an operating loss of $49 million for the first quarter of its 2016 financial year.
