9600GT to sell like hot cakes

Nvidians expect profit

A few independent sources close to Nvidia have said that they expect to earn a lot of money on Geforce 9600GT. This will be one hot selling chip, as it should be priced about €150 and it will give you the performance of an 8800GS.

It looks attractive and it won’t cost that much to make. Nvidia partners believe that this is the winner and in the last few years Nvidia managed to win this market segment over and over again.

ATI has the HD3850 in that price range, but we are not sure if this chip can go against Nvidia’s 9600GT. ATI’s real answer comes in a few months and it is called RV740.
