TSMC to make Fusion

JP Morgan said


IN TSMC second quarter 2007 conference call JP Morgan chaps hinted that this FAB will have the honour to produce highly anticipated Fusion CPU-GPUs. HO Morgan hinted that TSMC already signed the deal.

The same report states that AMD is now testing bulk silicon based CPUs based on this Fusion machitecture.

Fusion is due late 2008 or early 2009 and AMD VP actually had 2009 in its slides on the last presentation we've seen so this won’t really affect TSMCs financial numbers in 2008 but it will give its investors a confidence.
