Plextor announced new 5.25" Dual-Bay

Two slim drives in one 5.25 bay  


Proving that
two-in-one concept works Plextor announced its first space-saving Slim line optical solution for desktop PCs. It enables two optical slim line drives to be built in a space of just one 5.25 inch drive bay, thus making it ideal for small form factor Media Center PCs.

New product called PX-DB608AL comes with PX-DB600 dual bay unit with 2 slim line slots, including interface boards, slot covers and one PX-608AL slim line slot loaded with two optical drives. It is capable of writeing at: DVD+R 8x, DVD+R DL 4x, DVD-R 8x, DVD-R DL 4x, DVD+RW 8x, DVD-RW 6x, DVD-RAM 5x, CD-R 24x, CD-RW 24x, and reads DVD-ROM 8x and CD-ROM 24x.


The product comes also bundled with Nero Express 7 Essentials and PlexTools Professional LE.

The Plextor PX-DB608AL will be available from April 2007.
