HP Envy 13 j000ng x2 has Core M costs €799

The maker of expensive printer ink, HP has released two new machines with the Core M Broadwell 14nm processor.

The HP Envy 13-j000ng x2 and HP Envy 15-c000ng x2 are the first machines to get listed at the Geizhals price search engine with the Core M Brodwell chip. Some e-tailers claim that it might be selling them in a couple of weeks.

Intel Broadwell-based systems have been delayed more than Godot or Duke Nukem as Intel promised that they will ship them in October. With just one day left in the month, the chances are getting it out on time are really slim.

The Intel Core M 5y10 was previously known as Broadwell and this processor and was launched back in September or Q3 2014 as Intel likes to say.

This is a 800MHz based processor with turbo capability up to 2GHz and it comes with 4MB cache, two cores and four threads and 4.5W TDP. HP Envy 13 j000ng doesn’t need a fan and it comes with 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD drive as Intel HD graphics 5300.

The listed HP Envy 13-j000ng SKU has a 13.3 inch display with 1920x1080 resolution multi touch glare IPS screen. It has 2 USB 3.0 Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, 802.11ac wireless and micro SDXC slot.

It comes with 2 megapixel camera and Windows 8.1 64 bit. It is a 1.27 KG (tablet), 1.83KG with dock and it measures 355x215x14mm.

The bigger brother is called HP Envy 15-c000ng x2 and has 15.6 inch 1920x1080 screen, the same Core M 5Y10 CPU, 4GB RAM and 500 GB SSHDD and should also sell for €799. This is a hybrid drive with SSD and HDD portion probably from Seagate.

We are sure that HP won't be alone with these detachable Core M processor based notebooks and we expect to see a few of them shipping.
