by on16 September 2014

Unclear what impact it will have on Saints

Volition creative director Steve Jaros of Saints Row fame has departed as was announced via Twitter. The move will see Jaros who has been with Volition for the past 10 years depart for Valve. Jaros is credited with co-wirting the first three Saints titles and he oversaw the development of the fourth installment. It is not yet clear what exactly he will be doing at Valve.

While Jaros comments that he is “super proud of the word we did on Saints Row, but it’s time for me to move on.” The impact of losing a ten year veteran on the Saints Row staff isn’t yet clear. (It also isn’t clear if this is the only reason that Jaros decided to move on.)

Jaros will leave with his lasting legacy for Saints being “Gat out of Hell” which is a standalong expansion for Saints Row 4 that will arrive the last week of January as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 get the new Re-mastered edition called Saints Row 4: Re-Elected and it will include the standalone Gat out of Hell as part of the package.

The re-mastered edition known as Saints Row 4: Re-elected will arrive in North America on January 27th in North America and January 30th in the UK.
