ThinkPad gets Kabini refresh

E1-2500 on board

Lenovo’s ThinkPad Edge is getting a Jaguar refresh, according to a handful of listings in Germany and Austria. The new Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E145 is powered by AMD’s dual-core E1-2500 APU clocked at 1.4GHz.

The E1-2500 is a 15W part with HD 8240 graphics, packed with 128 shaders clocked at 400MHz. The E145 also features 4GB of RAM, 500GB of storage and an 11.6-inch 1366x768 display. In keeping with ThinkPad tradition, the display has a matte finish, none of that glare nonsense here.

It also features two USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11n wireless. There is no info on battery size, battery life or weight for that matter.

The E145 is currently listed for €460 to €505 and retailers expect to have it in stock in a couple of weeks.
