Disc version of 360 Minecraft delayed

Written by David Stellmack

Waiting for latest content for the disc release

Microsoft has confirmation that the upcoming release of the disc version of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 is going to be delayed. Originally slated to arrive in stores on April 30th, the decision was made to delay the release till June so that the disc would contain the latest content.

The disc release was to include all of the Minecraft content, including update 9, which was just released. Update 10 is already in the works and it is unknown if the planned release for update 10 for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft is expected in May; so that it makes sense to wait for update 10. Of course, this is just speculation at this point.

The new release date for the disc version is now June 4th.
