Written by Slobodan Simic

Completely new notificiation bar

Although the official changelog has not been released yet, we now have some details regarding the new Android 4.2.2 update that rolled out to Nexus devices yesterday.

According to these first details the 4.2.2 update brings more than just some stability and performance improvements as it features a new notification bar as well. It now shows the time remaining and the percentage of an in-progress app download and brings some changes to Quick Sttings including the long press for Bluetooth and WiFi buttons that turn them into toggle switches.

The new update also brings a couple of new sounds including a replacement for two short burst sound for low battery as well a sound for wireless charging that was lacking in previous versions.

The official changelog might bring a few more surprises as well and more details will certainly show up as soon as more people get this update on their Nexus devices.
