Acer takes another beating

November sales slide

We all know the PC market has seen better days, so it is hardly surprising to see big players struggling to boost sales.

Acer reported preliminary November sales figures on Monday and it is still going downhill. Sales dropped about four percent since October, to just $839 million. However, compared to October 2011, Acer sales are down 32 percent.

Windows 8 clearly didn’t do much to revitalize the PC market, but bear in mind that the sales figures could have been even bleaker without it.
