Boss promises more shake-ups
AMD boss, Hector Ruiz, told shareholders that more changes were afoot at the troubled outfit to make it profitable.
Ruiz said the company had a tough 2007, but said that the company would become "consistently" profitable. He refused to say much more, which has led to speculation that the company may be considering a break up.
He said he wants to make AMD operationally profitable by the second half of 2008, and dump businesses that don't seem to be going anywhere.
