International Surface RT pricing revealed

Written by Fudzilla staff

£399 guv’nor, €479 frau Merkel

Yesterday Microsoft inadvertently released Surface RT pricing for US consumers and now we pretty much have the full picture, as international prices are also out.

The entry level 32GB Surface RT, with no Touch Cover, ends up with a £399 price tag in Britain. Bundled with the Touch Cover, it’s priced at £479, while the top 64GB version with Touch Cover is priced at a rather steep £559.

The 32GB version sans cover is priced at €479 in Germany and Microsoft plans to charge €100 extra for the cover or extra storage. As for the rest of the continent, prices will be pretty similar, give or take a few euro for different VAT rates.

In Canada and Australia prices start at $519 and $559 respectively.

All in all the pricing doesn’t seem too bad, although the Touch Cover and Type Cover could have been a bit cheaper.
