Intel shows us Clover Trail performance on a tablet

Windows 8 looks good on Acer W510

Last week at IDF 2012 we had a chance to sit down with the guys from Intel performance labs and a chap called Francois Piednoel, a well-known figure in Intel’s technical PR used the opportunity to show off Windows 8 on an Acer W510, a Clover Trail tablet with 10.1-inch screen that works just great.

Many people are still skeptical about Microsoft’s ability to do something big on the tablet market, but this video might actually help to change some minds. Microsoft did a great job on multitasking enabling you to jump through applications including games in the blink of an eye.

Our video clearly demonstrates that the tablet, powered by a dual-core Clover Trail chip, handles Windows 8 quite nicely and the whole user experience looks quite impressive.

The Acer W510 weighs around 500 grams tablet and it can play very popular DivX HD content without necessity to transcode, which many pirates will find attractive. The tablet feels good in hand and the build quality is really great. We tried it ourselves and it felt and worked great.

Enough talking, you can simply play the video to get an idea how fast it is.
