Tecmo Super Bowl revived for 2013

Written by David Stellmack

New NES play experience for download

Tecmo Super Bowl is back. The very popular football title for the NES has been revived for a brand new 2013 edition for the NES. Yes, this fan-made title takes the NES classic and puts the modern stars and uniform colors into the Tecmo Super Bowl of old.

Those who want to play this NES title are able to download the ROM for free. The game adds some new features, such as an enhanced passing control and accuracy features, as well as the quickness feature being applied to defensive players (which governs the speed at which they intercept a pass or pick up a fumble). Previously, the quickness attribute for defensive players did nothing.

Other features include 32 teams, adjustable quarter lengths, in-game playbook editing, half-time stats, and a number of bug fixes from the previous versions.

You can download the NES ROM by clicking here.
