New Kindles incoming

Amazon has sent out press invites to fellow journalists for an event that will be held in Santa Clara, CA on September 6th.

Although the actual invite does not reveal any details regarding the event other than a courtesy call, the recent rumours point out that we just might see the new Kindle Fire that was previously rumoured for a Q3 release.

In case you missed them, rumours point to an 1280x800 screen on the new Kindle Fire which puts it in a direct competition with the Nexus 7.

Of course, nothing is sure when it comes to this Amazon event, as we might as well see some new e-readers, so we will just have to hold out until September 6th.
