Planetside 2 beta to start today

Written by David Stellmack

Will need a beta key to participate

It looks like the long and winding road for Planetside 2 is finally going to have an end to it. John Smedley announced via Twitter that despite the fact that there is a lot of work to do, the beta for Planetside 2 will open its doors Monday night to those that have beta keys.

With the announcement comes a bit of hesitation, as a similar claim was made by Smedley about a week ago where unforeseen circumstances caused the beta to delayed. The last delay has made many waiting for the beta skeptical until they can actually gain access and know that the servers are up and going.

The MMO shooter, Planetside, has been shown for some time now, and the early buzz is positive; but Sony Online Entertainment needs to get its doors open before we really know how well this title is going to do.
